Basal metabolism apparatus
Basal Metabolism Apparatus is a spirometer
with recording kymograph.
The "INDOSATI BMR consist of a
hollow double-walled vessel the space between the two walls bell of contains
water, making it air light. In the space between the two walls an inverted
hollow cylindrical 61 capacity is placed. The bell is attached to a
counterbalance with a chain, which passes over a pulley. The counterbalance
carries a pen for writing on the kymograph paper. The kymograph can operate at
four different speeds selectable from the front panel.
